The Queen of Sheeeba [userpic]
It's tradition!

My seedlings this year are a sunflower experiment and 3 varieties of marigolds. This weekend I plan to start some zinnias too.

The tall ones are of course the sunflowers. I do not know what kind since they are a mix. I hate mixes because I want to know what the hell is supposed to be coming out of the pot but they were all I had on hand.

I've got one snowball marigold. I've had the snowball seeds for two years now and only stubby not-so-nice looking seeds were left and only one of those seeds germinated. I should get more since I love the snowballs. None of the flagstaffs germinated. They were just as old and beat up as the snowballs. The new marigolds are harlequin and fireball.

Impatient me has again jumped the gun. I hope the sunflowers can be contained for another 6 weeks. Those things grow super fast.

I'm counting on a good crop of dandelions this year.

So sad, now that I'm a homeowner, that I don't have the time, inclination, or ability to plant and nurture a nice flower garden. Poor bastards would die before Memorial Day.
