That was risky.

Ebony insisted on getting quinoa and then couldn't figure out what to do with it. Using the old tried and true recipe making up method of thinking about what I got and what I could make with it. We had everything we needed for a nice curry chicken -- Caribbean style.

Instead of potatoes, I put quinoa. This could have gone terribly wrong. I've never made it before and if you've ever seen my rice, you'll know that the steaming cooking thing is not my forte. I make an awful Puerto Rican.

It was a success. The quinoa is a little nutty but not hard and it soaked up all the curry-ness perfectly. It was like arroz con pollo but curried and no arroz.


I love that stuff, especially because of the almondy taste. Never tried it with curry, though.

glad to hear that the quinoa worked out - I've got some of it too and haven't used it yet. So I'm -really- glad to hear that it tastes ok with curry. :)

Man I have problems cooking rice too. Quinoa and couscous cook better for me. And of course, I don't (usually) have pasta problems. Glad it worked out well, that sounds yummy!
