The Queen of Sheeeba [userpic]
Maybe Swahili

There's this case in which you had to have had a provider of health services out of network. We sent Not In Class letters and this is the call I got today.

Lucky Lady: What does that mean, out-of-network?
Me: You used a doctor that was not in your plan's network.
Lucky Lady: I don't know what that means!
Me: Your plan has a list of doctors. Those doctors are in-network. If you used a doctor not on that list, you had an out-of-network service.
Lucky Lady: I told you! I don't know what out-of-network means!
Me: It means a doctor who is not part of your health plan.
Lucky Lady: I go to the doctor all the time! I have diabetes!
Me: Yes and you use in-network doctors.
Lucky Lady: I don't know what out-of-network means!
Me: I'm trying to explain . . .
Lucky Lady: No you're not!
Me: It's a doctor who is not in your health plan.
Lucky Lady: I already told you, I use doctors all the time!
Me: Yes. Doctors on your plan.
Lucky Lady: So what is this out-of-network?!!??!!!
Me: I've already explained it to you.
Lucky Lady: USE OTHER WORDS!!!!!

See, she's lucky because Manhattan Boss was sitting right next to me, enjoying my half of this frustrating conversation. Because it was on the tip of my tongue to tell her the only words I know how to use are English words and I was sorry I couldn't speak Idiot.

P.S. I transferred the call to Manhattan Boss (cuz she wanted to speak to my boss). She told him she was going to sue him.

For something completely different, I have a new favorite commercial. It features R. Lee Ermey chucking a box of tissues at a sobbing man.

Al loves this commercial!

I believe he calls the sobbing man a 'jackhole'. He's mean.

I've seen him in so many things. He's got a very impressive resume! http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000388/

I'm still stuck on the Old Spice Guy and the Hamsters in the toaster. I must be behind the times.

Thom loves R Lee Ermey too but the best Geico commercial is the one with Max, the little piggie crying Weee weee weee all the way home.
