The Queen of Sheeeba [userpic]
Because February is right around the corner.

And peppers get started in February. A lot of lessons learned with my first try at seed starting but one that just doesn't take is jumping the damned gun. Well, I won't be starting the tomatoes so early this year.

One lesson that was well learned-- start as you mean to go. The seed starter kit? Not even going there. I am starting them in the pot they will stay in forever. No transplanting nonsense-- 4" peat pots, that's what I'm gonna do.

So I did a little peat pot window shopping. Here is what I found.

Plantation Peat Pots at Amazon. Oooh look, 57% off! Um, how many 3" pots do you get for $34?

Burpee's on Amazon is much clearer on price per unit. Some simple math tells me that Burpee's are .20 per 3" pot.

Only I want something bigger since I do not plan on moving the peppers out of the peat pot ever, so the more room the seedling has, the better. I remember the peat pots I got for super cheap and google 'Jiffy Peat Pot' and got Novosel Enterprises, the makers of Jiffy Peat Pots where I find 4" pots for .17 a peice. For comparison's sake, Jiffy's 3" pots are .10 a piece.

What would I do without the internet?
